Technical Writer

Newton Centre, MA

As part of the product management team, the technical writer is our bridge to communicating with customers and partners, both internal and external. An outgoing personality with deep technical skills, the technical writer will document a variety of new and legacy systems - ranging from XML APIs to consumer facing websites to professional point-of-sale web applications to back-end system management tools. The individual will help train partners and internal staff on use of our systems and will provide integral feedback to the rest of the product management team on system function and usability.

Responsibilities

  • Document and maintain documentation for Wandrian API, implementation guides, and examples.
  • Develop training guides and materials on legacy application usage for internal staff and external partners.
  • Assist Product Managers and Customer Engagement Managers in supporting partners through implementation and updates of the Wandrian API.
  • Work with the global customer support team to ensure staff is well trained and knowledgeable on Wandrian systems.

    Requirements

    Qualifications

  • At least 5 years experience as a technical writer, focusing on XML API and web products
  • Must possess excellent organizational skills and be able to prioritize multiple projects and objectives in a rapidly changing environment
  • Strong oral and written English communication skills (additional languages a plus)
  • Must be able to articulate technical and user needs in a concise manner
  • Familiarity with internet related technologies, including XML, Java, SQL
  • Familiarity with travel related websites and other e-commerce websites is a plus
  • Willingness to travel
